Link Love of the Week May 26th

Okay, so I’m a day late with my Link Love post. Sue me. I’ve been busy.

This week’s link love goes out to a special colleague - one who always lifts my spirits and reminds me what a wonderful community of VAs we have out there in cyberspace. Most recently, this particular colleague invited me to join a wonderfully warm and friendly networking site for women business owners. It’s called Divapreneur. I’ve had a blast getting to know so many great women out there making it on their own with their businesses.

So, in light of having such a fun weekend with a new community, I just knew I had to give Mia Chambers of Acumen VA a little link love this week. Mia’s a wonderful friend and colleague. She’s infectiously happy and always in good spirits. Mia prides herself on helping her clients bring their authentic selves to their online presence. She helps clients with their social networking, Internet marketing assistance, and keep up on all those emails! But mostly, she helps out by just being Mia. We’ve worked together on projects before & I always, always look forward to working with Mia. She just has a way of making my day brighter.

Thanks, Mia - for all that you do and are. I’m proud to have you as a friend and colleague! Best of luck with the new site! :) :) I’m thinking VY could use a little Spring cleaning/sprucing up soon, too. I’ll probably get one of the talented ladies over on Divapreneur to give VY a make-over soon. Thanks again, Mia!

Link Love of the Week, April 28th

This week’s link love goes out to a great colleague of mine. Not only is she a great colleague, but over the last year or so has also become a good friend. Cheryl Harless of CH Enterprises has been there with me through thick and thin…business hiccups, personal obstacles, comical life situations, and all the musings and whinings that go with it.

One of our favorite topics of conversation, outside of business and family, is the wonderful world of horses. There’s something to be said about horse lovers and horse people. We’re definitely a breed of our own. Cheryl’s taken her passion for all things equine and channeled that into her business. She primarily serves the equine industry and brings quite a wealth of information and know-how - both equine and administrative - to the table for her clients.

Cheryl has had a great impact on my business as well - which is why I knew this week’s Link Love just had to go out to her. She helps me remember to laugh (even at myself sometimes) as it is truly the best medicine out there. No matter how stressed, overwhelmed, or overbooked I seem to be, Cheryl can always make me smile and laugh at myself (or the situation) no matter what. How can you possibly carry the weight of the world when you’re rolling on the floor laughing your hind quarters off?

Thanks, Cheryl, for all you do to keep me sane! Love ya, girl! There’s a special corner in my tack room just for you. :) (And I’ll even rig up wireless access out there for you so you can feed your addiction to Mare Stare. :) )

Link Love of the Week, March 31st

This week’s Link Love goes out to the folks over at Business Know-How. Back when I first opened my virtual doors, I signed up for their enewsletter. Since then, I’ve used information on their site numerous times when researching article topics, digging up reference material for those articles, or just to gain a slightly different perspective on various aspects of my business.

If you visit their site or sign up for their enewsletter, don’t let all the cheesy & crowded advertisements get in the way of the great content within their site & articles. More than once I’ve had an article show up in my inbox that helped spark a great idea for an article of my own, or remind me of one of those pesky ‘need to do’s’ I keep letting slide in my business (like updating my business plan or marketing strategy.) Take a few minutes to peruse the site and see what piques your interest. Most of the articles and white papers on the site are easy, quick reads. If they do nothing else, they just might spark a little inspiration!
